Its a long winding trail, but someone just stepped on their dink in a very big way. Follow the detective work.

Jeff Potts = famouspipeliner

1) see the singles ad posted at:

http://www.imatchup.com/man_seeking_woman/SK-meet-famouspipeliner.html

Funny how it cross references to a profile at:

http://www.rabble.ca/babble/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_profile&u=00009177

Now, based on all the information I see, I suspect that famouspipeliner is Jeff Potts

Note some key quotes from the thread at Babble:

Here's another nugget...The Sask party (why is it called the Sask party when they get their financing from corporate Alberta?) doesn't actually believe in any of their own platform, which is why they are bereft of any heart.
We have Lorne Calvert out campaigning for the first new social program (pharmacare) in Canada in who knows how long...and the Sask party's response is to announce their own means tested program.
They don't believe in their own campaign, which is why it is half assed.
By the way I'm handing out the "coffee row handbook" to Swift Current businesses. If you don't have one, pick one up.  '

famouspipeliner is out campaigning.

but the clincher that famouspippeliner is Jeff Potts is from the same thread, and here is what it says:

Hey, Rosa,...
Actually one of my radio ads that is running says that the Sask. party has been holding high priced fundraisers in Alberta. It asks the question 'does this seem right to you?'...and that those paying for the Sask. party campaign must want something in return ...ending with 'Let's put an end to influence peddling.'
Still waiting for an SP response.

Jeff claims he is for telling the truth:

First, the conservatives have always, and continue to charge that the NDP is run by the unions, without any evidence or substantiation to back up their claims. How could they make a statement like that now anyways when SUN is clearly in the SP camp?
Second, we are talking about out of province contributions from corporations which may be facing hydrocarbon rate hikes in Alberta. Some have been so bold as to speak openly about the issue to pressure the duly elected government of AB. Do we want out of province corporations dictating policy in Saskatchewan?
Thirdly, I know I can't be bought, so for you to suggest that this is the norm does an extreme disservice to anyone who should care to run for office for the expressed purpose of acting in the interest of the people, for the people.
Cynicism isn't an argument.
We intend to take control of the legislature by telling the truth and by using democratic means...which stands in stark contrast to the SP.

Does Jeff in fact tell truths?

This is funny, Jeff Potts is an athiest (he claims so in his personal ad profile), but here he can do his inpersonation of a biblical character:

Brad Wall Ducks All Candidates Debate
The leader of the SP in complicity with the Swift Current chamber of commerce has chosen to avoid an all candidates debate. Because of Mr. Walls' decision, there will be no debate. The COC, which normally sponsors the event, issued a statement saying that they could not find a suitable venue. The community college, which normally hosts the event is apparently booked with volleyball pratices from now until the election. Appently there are no other gymnasiums in the city.
The concern amongst the business community is that the SP leader will have to address a number of questions about his past including his involvement in the PC tax payer funded booze fest of the 80's, his 150,000 golden parachute from the Devine regime (running the music hall of fame into bankruptcy), his subsequent hiring by the city of Swift Current (a position they made for him), even though it was a direct conflict of interest given that his father is an alderman and over the objections of at least two other aldermen, and who except god almighty above knows what else in this dirty, rotton burough.
All in all, this might be a good decision by the COC because the NDP candidate in Swift Current is an oilfield worker who is built like a linebacker and is considering doing his best Jesus in the temple impersonation.

It'd be interesting to see if there were any links between the specific contributors at the two events.
Anyway, 3 sners in and cracking number four...going to call Mandryk about the Chamber. They also have a list of questions they want to ask. And let's face it, I used to sing in the church choir but I'm no angel. They've been saying around town that I'm a partyer and that's supposed to be a bad thing. I feel like having a big party with all the people I know and an all star band and beer. Might as well prove their point for 'em.
When I told one of my friends (who works for another company) some of the goings on here in Speedy Creek, he said " fight 'em." When I told another story, another friend said who works for another company said, "burn his house down." And the last friend said "why even bother?"
Really, you're lucky I've got nothing better to do. I'm taking my holiday pay. You're lucky I'm here.
Here's a gem. I went to buy a new truck today. A conservative friend of mine and his brother run the place. So I went in to deal on an 03 Dakota with 54'000km on it and all of that. NEWS FLASH
THE CAR DEALERS HATE BRAD WALL'S ANNOUNCEMENT because they've put pending deals on hold. And the dealers say that the changes wouldn't take affect for some time...so they're getting screwed over by Brad's big policy announcment.

Since I live in Canada Mr. Eagle I merely wish to tell you that your post is without substance or foundation. From the comment that 'most' aspiring doctors would choose a different career (are there doctors anywhere else in the world? hello!) to 'we would have to pay nurses less' (why, praytell?) to 'Canada' (what do you know about Canada?), the complete absence of proof to back up your opinions is clear for all to see.
Gee whiz. A few years ago way up here I broke a bone in my hand, went to the hospital for an x-ray the same day (everyone has a health card like a bank card), was scheduled to see a specialist the next day, was reassembled, casted, and on my way within a 24 period. And I didn't have to pay. Oh, I pay taxes, but is it ever worth it.
What would a similar process be under an American, employer based system. How much would it have cost me if I wasn't covered with private insurance?
What was the upside of your system again? '

You've covered a lot of ground and again you are resorting to unsupported assertions to back up your pre-determined viewpoint. It would seem that you are not out to seek the truth, but to confirm your already jaded view of humanity that the value of life itself is found in how much jangle one has in one's pocket.
To address a number of your charges: 1) If thousands of Canadians were dying waiting for health care, it would be a national scandal. When there is even one such case, it often becomes a media event. 2) The average family doctor in our province makes about 275,000 per annum. Specialists make more. Assuming that physicians undertake their professions just to make a few bucks is an insult to the better part of human nature itself. 3) You think American schools are better than those elsewhere in the world? Just an arbitrary assertion. 4) Private insurance exists in Canada but that is to pay for items not included in medicare like dental work or prescription drugs. 5) Is it realistic just to let the citizenry become ill and die? In Canada, actual human beings are valued...not just for their money, but because they are people...with actual lives, with actual loved ones. Here, it's not a dream...it's the reality. 6) I don't advocate communism, but I have dated a communist. So while I see no need to nationalize the means of production, I do subscribe to the social democratic value that governments elected by the people exist to protect the common interest...not to curry favor of private interests like big pharma...thus, I agree with the Canadain principle to regulate prescription drug prices (and yes, they still make profits). 7) All progress is not determined by the tax rate. That's a conservative myth. The incredible wealth generated by a democratic society is more than enough to cover everyone's health care costs...unless your country has a permanent war economy and views human beings as dispensable, sacrificial lambs to the 'higher' goal of world domination.

As a side note, I'm going to be in Ca. for the first time in half a dozen years in a couple of months. I'll get to see again the homeless, the slave labor illegal workforce, the staggering gap between haves and have nots, the crime, traffic, pollution. Nice place to visit...wouldn't want to live there.'

I heard the news today...on the national tv news..that a woman had to wait to get back surgery. National news. Yep it's true, the system must be broken.
If you check back in the Alternet archives, you will find an excellent piece by Josh Holland on the costs/benefits of a single payer system.
You know, my first wife was a nurse in Santa Monica...she looked after members of the house of Saud, Maureen Reagan and John Haldeman. Those people don't lack for the finest health care money can buy to be sure. But what of everyone else?
Further, you seem to want to presume that I'm not in the 'haves'. Really now.
Because I'm concerned for the lives and well being of my fellow humans? What are you some kind of Randroid? '

Jeff Potts comments on Highways from:

http://www.smalldeadanimals.com/archives/004103.html

'It's so easy for people to whine and complain. It would appear that a lot of readers don't understand the nature of physicl reality but that's really what is up for question here. Why are the roads falling apart? Ask yourself that.
The truth is that the rail companies were allowed to abandon branch lines following the elimination of the crow subsidy. All of that grain freight was downloaded onto provincial infrastructure.
Further, All of those b-trains hauling grain are exempt from road weight restricitions and the faster they travel the more damage they do. Many semi drivers have modified the suspension systems on their rigs to allow them to carry even more weight and thus improve their profit margins. As long as the grain is moved on highways, Saskatchewan taxpayers will be paying to fix roads.
Interested in solutions? Well, we could slow the trucks down, encourage (open to debate) the use of short line railways, or build new railways on the old rail bedss.
In the reality based community, we deal with the nature of the universe...not the whimsy of a bunch of whiners who didn't help build anything and can't understand why things are the way they are. Stand down Tories.

Posting someone's online dating profile as politically relevant is despicable. So you can do a Google search. Big fat hairy deal! Where's your tact?
